About the Role

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Supply Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools across South Normanton, Alfreton and the surrounding areas. This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity, ideal for individuals looking to fit work around their schedule while making a positive impact in education.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will work across different primary schools on a day-to-day, short-term, or long-term basis, providing essential classroom support where it’s needed most.

Flexible Working Options

We offer a variety of working patterns to suit your availability:

  • Full-time: 5 full days per week

  • Part-time: 1–4 days per week

You can also choose shifts that fit your lifestyle:

  • Morning sessions: 08:30am – 12:30pm

  • Afternoon sessions: 12:00pm – 15:30pm

  • Full days: 08:30am – 15:30pm

Whether you’re looking for consistent full-time work or occasional flexible shifts, we can accommodate your preferences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons

  • Assist pupils with their learning, both in groups and on a one-to-one basis

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

  • Provide support to pupils with additional needs where required

  • Adapt quickly to different school settings and routines

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting

  • A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to build rapport with pupils and staff quickly

  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and education

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) – desirable but not essential

  • Right to work in the UK
