SupplyGo Education is looking for friendly, committed, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team and support pupils across a range of primary and SEND environments.

About the Role

We’re currently seeking Teaching Assistants to work in Primary and SEND schools in and around Ilkeston. We have a variety of opportunities available — full-time, part-time, or flexible day-to-day work — so you can choose what suits you best.

This role would be ideal for anyone with experience supporting children or young people, from EYFS right through to KS4. It’s also a great stepping stone for those wanting to start or grow a career in education, as no formal qualifications are required.

We also welcome applicants from care backgrounds, sports coaching, youth work, community roles, or similar fields — your transferable skills are extremely valuable in the classroom.

Working Hours

  • Full-Time: 08:30am – 3:30pm

  • Morning Only: 08:30am – 12:30pm

  • Afternoon Only: 12:30pm – 3:30pm

Age Ranges

  • Primary Schools: 4–11 years

  • SEND Schools: 4–25 years

Qualifications

  • No formal qualifications required

  • Relevant training or certificates are welcome but not essential

  • What matters most is your enthusiasm, patience, and willingness to support pupils’ learning

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom throughout the school day

  • Helping maintain a positive, safe, and well-structured learning environment

  • Encouraging and motivating students to engage with their lessons

  • Assisting teachers in delivering curriculum-based activities

  • Promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils develop social skills
