SupplyGo Education are currently recruiting for two Full-Time Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in Swadlincote for the 2026/27 academic year.

We have two positions available:
Year 6 Class Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a general Teaching Assistant to work alongside the class teacher and support pupils across a Year 6 classroom.
The successful candidate will help provide support with learning, classroom activities and the general day-to-day running of the classroom, working closely with the teacher to ensure all pupils are able to engage and make progress.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting pupils with their learning and development.
Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging classroom activities.
Providing additional support to pupils who may require it.
Helping maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
Supporting pupils both individually and within small groups.
Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.
Previous experience working within KS2 is desirable, although applications from candidates with strong primary school experience and transferable skills are welcomed.
Year 4 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
The second position involves providing 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The pupil has autism and associated additional needs and can be very active within the classroom. The successful candidate will therefore need to be confident, patient and proactive, with the ability to build a strong relationship with the pupil and support them to remain engaged, settled and included within the classroom environment.
This role will involve:
Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
Supporting the pupil to engage with classroom learning and activities.
Helping the pupil remain within the classroom and participate as fully as possible.
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
Adapting activities and approaches to meet the pupil's individual needs.
Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.
Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team.
Encouraging independence and helping the pupil develop their confidence.
Experience supporting children with autism, SEND or additional needs would be preferred. However, we are also interested in hearing from candidates who have the right attitude, patience and transferable experience and are keen to develop their skills within a school environment!
Working Hours and Remuneration:
Monday to Friday (full-time)
08:30am - 15:30pm
£92.75 - £105.00 per day (inclusive of holiday pay)
