SupplyGo are actively hiring Children & Young Adult's Residential Support Workers on a Temp-to-Perm basis, at an SEND School in the Matlock & Belper area.

The School is based in the Matlock & Belper area, and caters for Children & Young Adults ageing from 5 to 19 Years of Age. The School specialises in working with Students with High-Functioning ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), Asperger’s Syndrome, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and Developmental Language Disorder. They're also incredibly experienced in meeting associated diagnoses and needs, such as selective mutism, anxieties and phobias.

Experience within this field is not essential, however there is a desire for the applying candidate to undertake accredited courses and mandatory training where required.

If you have experience of working within Transferrable fields like the Care & Support sector, we'd love to hear from you. Practical homely skills like cooking, cleaning and activity planning are also desirable skills for the successful candidate.

FULL, PAID TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED.

THE ROLE:

The role will involve supporting the students in the residential home. This will mean getting them up and ready for school and to lessons, making their meals and/or supporting them to make their meals too. It will also consist of encouraging life skills, for example, doing their own washing, tidying their room etc.

Once children are at school, this is when staff catch up on notes, training and any other planning or preparation. In the evenings it will involve meal prep, taking the children out to socialise, take them to do activities like, Swimming, Bowling, Climbing and many others.

Essential Criteria

Successful applicants should be:

- enthusiastic, patient and understanding
- able to undertake a challenge and provide high standards of care to our young people
- able to work well in a team, as well as using your own initiative
- have access to, and own their own vehicle. Being able to drive is essential in this role due to the location of the school, and the requirement of taking the children out for social activities.

Once the 12 working week Temp-to-Perm period has been complete, you will go permanent on the schools payroll. You will then receive the following benefits:

Salary & Working Hours:

Salary details –£21,060.00 to £21,859.50 dependant on experience & qualifications

Hours:37.50 per week over 52 weeks
- Shift/Rota Patterns will alternate each school term so it's fair for each staff member.
- Shifts will consist of 07:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00.

Staff are required to do sleep-ins. These shifts run from 14:00-23:00. Staff sleep on site. Staff are required to do a minimum of 1 sleep in per week.

Job Term:Permanent appointment following a successful 12 working week Probationary period
