I joined the Supply Go team in March 2026, bringing with me a strong background in both education and recruitment. Before joining the team, I spent four years working as a recruitment consultant for a larger agency, where I built up extensive experience supporting schools and education professionals. During that time, I developed a real passion for helping schools find the right people and supporting teachers in finding roles where they can truly thrive.
Before moving into recruitment, I spent 27 years working as a primary school teacher in Nottinghamshire schools. Those years in the classroom gave me a deep understanding of the day-to-day realities of school life and the challenges schools and teachers face. Because I’ve been there myself, I know how important it is to find the right fit — someone who not only has the right skills and experience, but also the right personality, energy and approach to make a positive impact within a school community.
My approach to working with both schools and candidates is very relationship-focused. I take pride in getting to know people properly and really understanding what they are looking for. For me, recruitment isn’t just about filling a role — it’s about creating the right match so that both the school and the teacher feel supported, valued and set up for success. I always aim to bring enthusiasm, honesty and a personal touch to everything I do.
Outside of work, family life is really important to me. I’m married to Lisa and we have two grown-up children, both of whom now work in education themselves. Our household is also kept busy by our two dachshunds, who definitely like to think they are in charge.
In my spare time, I’m also an established DJ and perform regularly at some of Nottingham’s best-known venues. I’m a proud old-school vinyl DJ and love nothing more than playing classic tracks, creating a great atmosphere and keeping the dancefloor moving into the early hours.
